Jonathan Little spent decades as the tech keeping A&M, Conway, The Village and Cherokee running, building one-off tools to fix the things that actually went wrong in those rooms. Little Labs is still that: one engineer, one problem at a time. You do not buy an IBP from a spec sheet. You understand it the moment you are standing in front of the problem.

Every Little Labs box is named for what it does. Here is the problem each one solves.

The bench

Named for a physics lab.

The name came from his father's lab at Stanford, where the grad students called the kid underfoot Little Labs. He learned electronics there in the 1970s, then went south to Los Angeles and became the staff tech for the rooms that made the records.

The boxes came out of that work: real problems, in real sessions, solved one at a time and never productised into something they were not. Read the history →
